UMBC’s DoIT supports several options for screencasting, including the use of Panopto and Collaborate. Both of these two options are easily deployed for click and share use with limited technical expertise. Since video editing can be exceptionally labor, skill, and time intensive, DoIT does not suggest post production editing for faculty screencasting. However, it is possible to download video content to edit and share (e.g., chunking longer lecture videos into shorter, more digestible segments).

Multimedia files should not be uploaded to Blackboard since it is not a streaming system.
