Description: Jhpiego is seeking a Learning Solutions Technical Advisor to provide technical leadership and expertise in instructional design with a focus on integration of technology integration and digital health, including learning management systems, mobile messaging applications and social media platforms. The technical advisor will be expected to work closely with the Learning and Performance Management Lead and shaping organizational approach to learning solutions. The TA will support learning content design and development, with a focus on implementation and integration of digital content, and use of digital platforms into learning and performance approaches. The Learning Solutions Technical Advisor will shape and support Jhpiego’s learning priorities, with a strong emphasis on technology integration and implementation support. This position will provide leadership in building capacity of Jhpiego staff in designing and implementing impactful learning activities, guiding selected vendors or casuals in Jhpiego learning approaches and ensure quality delivery for learning products. This position will directly support learning content design and development when needed.
Required Qualifications:
- Advanced degree as instructional designer, instructional technologist, or other similar formal degree in educational technology
- Direct implementation experience in selection, design and manage blended learning solution development that includes use of technology platforms
- 5+ years in the field of instructional / educational technology, including designing, developing digital learning solutions or in supporting digital learning integration or management or support
- Experience in content development for mobile LMS solutions
- Experience supervising, managing development of or authoring digital courses
- Experience with use of an existing LMS, such as Blackboard, Cornerstone, Moodle, etc.
- Proficiency in eLearning authoring software, such as Articulate, Camtasia, etc.
- Basic knowledge of streaming audio and video, compression methods, file types, and formats
- Experience with web and mobile application tools (such as CSS, JQuery, and HTML5), a plus
- Video production experience
