If you have been locked out because of too many failed attempts, you will have to go to the Technology Support Center (TSC) located in the main floor of the Library to get it reset.

  1. Go to https://webadmin.umbc.edu/admin//Security/PasswordAssistance
  2. Enter your Email address, UMBC Campus ID, or myUMBC username then click Next
  3. Verify your e-mail address
  4. Answer your security questions

  5. After successfully answering your security questions, a password reset link sent to your alternate e-mail address on file.

Option 2

If you forget your password, you should contact the DoIT Technology Support Center at 410-455-3838. We will not be able to tell you what your existing password is, but you will be able to reset it to a new one.

Please provide TSC with the following information:

  1. Alternate (non-UMBC) email address, e.g. sample@yahoo.com, sample@gmail.com, sample@netzero.net
  2. Alternate phone contact
  3. CampusID (printed on your red UMBC ID)
