Only Blackboard system administrators can create a course manually.

Tell Me

  1. Log into Blackboard with your designated admin account
  2. Click the System Admin tab
  3. Click the Courses link
  4. Search for the master template (UMBC_MT) for the appropriate term
  5. Click the action arrow next to the name
  6. Click Copy
  7. Select Copy Course Materials into a New Course in the copy type
  8. Enter the course ID assigned by PeopleSoft
  9. Select all items, content areas, and tools
  10. Click Submit
  11. If necessary, enter an entry to the exception file so the enrollments process to the new course
