Users on campus can sometimes hold multiple roles at UMBC (e.g. a staff member taking graduate classes part time). Content and topics on myUMBC are tailored to you based on your role, so there will be times when you may need to switch your role in order to see certain content. The following instructions will allow you to change your role for your current view of myUMBC.
Roles are being phased out in myUMBC 4. If the link below does not work then roles no longer exist.
- Log into myUMBC 3 at https://my3.my.umbc.edu/settings/roles.
- Choose the desired role from the Active Role drop down menu and click the Set button to the right.
