After opening PowerPoint 2016 and selecting a new or existing PowerPoint follow the below steps to turn off Presenter View.

  1. In the top of PowerPoint click the Slide Show tab(see picture).
  2. In the "Monitors" section (middle top, see picture) deselect "Use Presenter View"

You now have successfully turned off Presenter View and your display will stay duplicated.
