Organization and Employee Development (OED) is an area within Human Resources. This team partners with UMB leaders to develop and implement solutions to improve the effectiveness of individuals, teams and the University. As experienced organizational and development practitioners, the team is committed to providing excellent service in the areas of:
- Consultation: Initial assessment of environment and employee needs to recommend customized solutions that could include action planning, team and professional development interventions, and process evaluation.
- Training and Development: Learning experiences to acquire knowledge and skills. These activities include professional development, leadership development, supervisory training and eLearning.
- Facilitation: Process to guide participants in the generation and analysis of ideas, proposed solutions and actions through effective facilitation of meetings, retreats and team interventions.
OED is seeking an Instructional Systems Design intern to assist with the translation of content from subject matter experts and existing learning resource materials into easily accessible online training materials. The intern will work with experienced organization and employee development professionals to accomplish their work.
The intern will have the option to work remotely or in the office. The intern must be available to meet with subject matter experts and attend project meetings onsite at the University of Maryland, Baltimore as required. The intern is expected to work approximately 10 hours per week, September-December 2017 (start and end dates, as well as work schedule are somewhat flexible).
