Position: Learning & Development Temp/Intern

Description: This is a part-time three-month winter temp/internship position in the Human Resources department reporting to the Director, Employee Learning and Engagement. The function of this position is to provide support of AIA's Learning and Engagement projects, including, development of knowledge resources, and maintenance of existing program.

Job Duties: 

  • Assist with creating an organizational needs assessment to determine training and development needs by department and level within the organization.
  • Assist with developing a matrix of available training opportunities to address possible training needs.
  • Assist with creating internal training materials to address organizational needs around IT, onboarding and other needs as identified.

KSAs and Training and Experience:

Must have basic understanding of instructional design best practices and basic knowledge of adult learning principles either through coursework or experience.  Demonstrated ability to problem-solve and anticipate needs.  Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities. Ability to work well with others and independently with minimal supervision. Experience with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), Google Docs and other related technology strongly preferred. Demonstrated writing, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Basic writing, copy editing, and proofreading skills required.

Currently enrolled in a graduate program related to instructional design, adult learning, organizational development or related field.
